2017 – A Year in Review

This year has been one of the busiest ever at Science Warehouse in terms of bringing new products to market and engaging with our Buyer and Supplier community through development.  We held our biggest ever UK User Conference in June and our first Australian User Conference in October.  Over the year, we have released over 11 significant product or feature releases with some of the highlights of the year below:

Next Generation Search 

The biggest development of the year in terms of user impact was to redevelop our search engine and search interface, core to almost every user interaction and from the feedback we have received, we have made great strides! Click to read more

Supplier Insights

This year we wanted to redevelop all of our reporting capability to give both Buyers and Suppliers improved Data Visualisation and drive towards Actionable Analytics that allow them to manage their business better.  The first of these modules released was Supplier Insights.  Click to read more

Supplier Onboarding 

For the UK and Ireland, we launched our new Supplier Onboarding module back in June and Australia follows in January 2018. The module enables new Suppliers easy access to self-serve and join the network.  Click to read more

End User Engagement

We had some great feedback from our end users this year following the product enhancements we have made – read our blog on a day in the life of one of our users and read how the University of Queensland rolled out to over 2,000 users with no specific end user training. Click to read more

Buyer Insights

Following on from the successful launch of Supplier Insights, we released the first phase of our Buyer Insights module allowing Buyers to report on Orders, Invoices, On/Off Catalogue spend and spend by Category. This is the first building block in some exciting Data Visualisations we have planned for 2018. Click to read more.

Price Approvals 

One of the biggest challenges for procurement is how do they understand the impact of price changes on their organisation?  Our developments to the Price Approval process gives insight to the impact of the change and allows users to quickly assess and approve or reject changes. Click to read more

ERP Integrations

We already integrate to many leading ERP solutions including Advanced, Integra, Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP and Unit4 Agresso. This year we have added new integrations for Oracle Cloud and Technology One

Search Analytics

The redevelopment of our search engine allowed us to capture much more information about how end users are searching on the system, search terms that return no results and how they are using the filters (e.g. are products without images filtered out? How often is the sort by price filter used?)  This information is being delivered as an interactive dashboard to both our Buyer and Supplier community to help drive Actionable Insight into product search results, improving data quality and identifying training needs.

eTendering, Contract Management, Spend Analytics 

To finish the year off, we have extended our partnership with Atamis, a Spend Analysis and Contract Management solution provider, and will be bringing you an extended solution set in 2018 to deliver more benefit to your organisation.
