Philip Padfield, CEO at Science Warehouse explains why he will be sleeping rough for one night in Paternoster Square, London.

CEO Sleepout for Action for Children

28th February 2017

On the 23rd of March, I will be spending the night sleeping rough for Action for Children because I want to help prevent youth homelessness. 80,000 young people become homeless in the UK every year and I am proud to be joining fellow business leaders changing young people’s situations. The CEO Sleepout is a unique event, inviting CEOs to come together and sleep out to raise money and awareness of youth homelessness.

Action for Children helps disadvantaged children across the UK. Over 7,000 staff and volunteers operate over 600 services, improving the lives of 390,000 children, teenagers, parents and carers every year. They succeed by doing what’s right, what’s needed and what works for children.

I am thrilled to be taking part in the fourth annual CEO Sleepout; I took part and braved the cold last year to successfully raise £2000. This year Action for Children are aiming to raise £150,000 with your support. The funds raised will go towards supporting vital projects that work with young people. I look forward to seeing the impact of the fundraising efforts from last year and how we can make a difference to many young people’s lives this year.

Please support me by clicking here and making a donation via my JustGiving page. Together, we hope to raise more than £150,000!

Many thanks.
